Nomessin – Oppo has quietly launched a new A-series smartphone in China. Oppo A36 is the latest series that comes with a high refresh rate display, dual camera, Qualcomm processor, matte glass finish on the back, and big battery.
The newly launched Oppo A36 features a matte glass panel on the back with a rectangular camera in the upper left corner. The glass back features millions of crystals, just like on the Oppo Reno series.
On the front, the device has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a hole punch in the upper left corner.
The screen covers 96% of the NTSC color gamut, 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and the brightness can reach 600 nits. Finally, it has a screen-to-body ratio of 89.9%, can reproduce 16.7 million colors, and has a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch.
As for optics, the A36 has a dual camera setup on the back that consists of a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it uses an 8-megapixel camera.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 and has a MicroSD card slot to expand storage up to 1TB.
On the connectivity front, the phone supports dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. GNSS (BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS), USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. It has all the necessary sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In terms of size and weight, this smartphone measures 164.4 x 75.7 x 8.4mm and weighs 185 grams. Last but not least, it’s heated up by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
In terms of price, the Oppo A36 is priced at 1,599 yuan, or around 3.5 million rupees, and it is available in Cloudly Black and Qingchuan Blue color variants. The Oppo A36 is available starting from January 14th.
